Register with us as a New Patient

As of the 8th of November 2022 we will not be accepting new patient registrations. However if you need to register a new-born baby and you are already an existing patient then please fill out the form below. For further details please see below.

From Tuesday 8th November 2022, Lordshill Health Centre will close their
list and will not be accepting any new patients. This decision has the
support of our commissioners at the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
We will continue to register new-born babies of parents already registered at the

GP Practices have a duty of care to provide quality, accessible and safe care to
patients. We also have an obligation to review and take appropriate measures if
we deem our workload would compromise patient safety or the care we

Our list size has continued to rise, and we now feel that if we continue to accept
new registrations, then the level of workload will jeopardise our ability to
provide safe care to our existing patients with the resources that we have.

Unfortunately, we feel unable to accept any new requests to register with us at
this time and took the decision to apply for a list closure whilst we forward plan.
Please be assured that we have not taken this decision lightly. Nor does this decision
in anyway relate to applicant race, gender, social class, age, religion, sexual
orientation, appearance, disability, or medical conditions.

To register with the surgery you will be asked to complete a Registration Form which will include a section complete giving information about yourself and your previous medical and family history. This will give us some information so that should you become ill before your medical records arrive at the practice, the doctor will have some background information.

From the Health Centre go south to junction of Coxford Road and Romsey Road then go north along Romsey Road until Brownhill Road and go east along Lower Brownhill Road onto Brownhill Way to junction 1 of the M271.  Keeping to the M271 boundary then across to Romsey Road taking in all of Rownhams, Lordswood and join up again at the northern end of Coxford Road returning to Romsey Road.

Please note that from September 2015 Compass Point is no longer part of our Catchment Area.

Please note
We register patient from 1:30pm to 6:30pm on a Monday, and form 10;00am to 6:30pm Tuesday to Friday.

  • Acceptance on to the list is as at the discretion of the Doctor
  • There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to register with your chosen GP, for example you may live too far away. If this is the case simply choose another GP in your local area
  • Please note that your medical records may take several weeks to arrive at the Practice
