We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases and offer a wide variety of medical services.
In addition to GP consultations the practice adheres to the General Medical Services Contract for the provision of healthcare services:
- Asthma/COPD clinic : By appointment with our Asthma nurse.
- Diabetic Clinic: By appointment with our Diabetic nurse.
- Coronary Heart Disease Clinics: By appointment with our CHD nurse.
- Cardiovascular Disease Clinics: By appointment with HCA.
- Cervical Smears: By 20 min appointment with our practice nurse.
- Adult immunisation: By appointment with our practice nurse.
- Travel immunisation: By appointment with our practice nurse. Please ask for 20 minute appointment.There may be a charge for this.
- Minor operations: See your own GP.
- Contraception & Family Planning Clinic: See your own GP or practice nurses .
- Baby Immunisation: Wednesday 9:15am to 10:00am.
Health promotions
As a practice we actively support prevention as well as cure. We are targeting heart disease, smoking related illnesses, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy and thyroid disease. You may be asked to attend a review clinic. We also give advice and support on stopping smoking.
If you are aged between 16 & 74 and have not been seen for three years you may request a consultation. We will provide such a consultation and examinations that appear to be appropriate at that time.
If you are aged 75 and over and have not been seen for twelve months you may request a consultation. We will provide such a consultation and examinations that appear to be appropriate at that time.
