If you are struggling to cope or feel yourself nearing a breakdown, Access Mental Health is here to provide help. Designed in partnership with local people, it offers a range of services which provide support at times and places when people need it the most.

Steps to Wellbeing

Taking the first step can often be the most difficult part, but Steps2Wellbeing is here to support you. We can guide you through the referral process, we’ll listen to what you have to say and determine the best type of treatment for you.

Private counselling

If you require or wish to consider private counselling, then you can contact BACP ( The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy ) which is the professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK.

Self-help therapies

Self-help therapies are psychological therapies that you can do in your own time to help with problems like stress, anxiety and depression.

Under 25? Looking for counselling and support

Support for children and young people up to the age of 25 is also available from No Limits. No Limits provide a wide range of services including information, advice, counselling and support. This help can be accessed by contacting the service directly, as well as via referrals from families, friends and professionals.

A FREE, 12-step course is full of mindfulness tips and practices on how to deal with unpredictability and stress. Designed by Breathworks Co-founder Vidyamala Burch, it is based on tried and tested mindfulness methods for creatively managing your mind and body.
